What do you think about waiting lists? After launching the landing page, without a live product, it is justified to invest time and resources in growing the waiting list (obviously without neglecting product development)?

They can be really helpful for getting validation and some people to invite into a beta programme
@maxwellcdavis I agree, unfortunately, we did everything the other way around, we've already validated 50 people and now we're launching the waiting list πŸ˜‚
@realvladgolub well always next time πŸ˜€
@maxwellcdavis We will try to do our best anyway πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

For anyone who has done waitlists, what are some waitlist integrations you recommend? For example products like get waitlist or viral loops.
@devreetdulay try this one: https://getlaunchlist.com very cool integration!

@realvladgolub Thanks! Do you use this for referrals or did you use this just for a waitlist before launching your product?
@devreetdulay I actually use this integration for my project, you can check it on clustr.io

They can also be a useful tool for managing demand ,However, it is important to ensure that the waiting list is not too long, as this can lead to frustration and disappointment among potential customers
@a_hussein What do you think about the maximum waiting time? We thought two months, as we are finishing the development of the product

@realvladgolub I think 2 to 4 months is okay but you have to keep in touch with your waiting list and add value for them so they stick with your product even before it launched, that's the important point
@a_hussein Thanks for the suggestion! πŸ’ͺ

Waitlists can be a powerful tool for building anticipation and generating interest in your product or service. Here are some tips on how to use waitlists effectively on a landing page: Highlight the benefits: Make sure to clearly communicate the benefits of joining the waitlist. This can include early access to your product or service, exclusive content, or special offers. Create a sense of urgency: Encourage visitors to join the waitlist by creating a sense of urgency. Let them know that spots are limited and that they won't want to miss out. Make it easy to join: Keep the process of joining the waitlist simple and straightforward. Use a clear call-to-action and minimize the number of fields in your opt-in form. Provide updates: Keep your waitlist subscribers engaged by providing regular updates on your progress and what they can expect from your product or service. Offer incentives: Consider offering incentives to encourage people to join the waitlist. This could include discounts, freebies, or other perks. Test and optimize: Test different messaging, incentives, and calls-to-action to see what works best for your audience. Use analytics tools to track the performance of your waitlist and optimize accordingly. By using waitlists effectively on your landing page, you can build anticipation for your product or service and generate valuable leads for your business.
