News ideally must do 2 things, 1) Give you a better understanding of the world 2) Which in turn helps you make better decisions Do you think this is happening today? Consider both free social media news and paid traditional news.

News media compete with Facebook and Twitter for readers. To be able to compete, traditional news media needs to use the same short-form language to reach the readers. The problem is that readers donโ€™t want to read short form language, they want to read in-depth and well researched articles.

@kathleen_smith2 , I agree, the problem is the algorithms want to keep your attention for as long as possible, the short form content does this just as well ,if not better than in depth content. As a result in depth content is seen as not good for business by the algorithms - do you agree?

Authenticity is still a big concern.

@adams_parker Even if your content is called out as inauthentic and your account gets banned, you can just create a new account to post more fake news. There are no real repercussions. Do you think this is a problem?

@thompson_martin Do you think informed opinions like the one stated above given by the CEO on the metaverse get the exposure they deserve on social media?
