For those launching their product soon, what does success look like for you? Are you looking for as many users as possible? Feedback? Revenue?

Feedback is good but I think deep down we all want revenue!

@wisanishilumanimakes Same with my launch as well, it was good learning experience. Now I've learnt to optimise for revenue.

@ali_ndlovu Agreed; from past launches though, I've learned that revenue + retention of that revenue is a good measure of success. My very first launch had a lot of traffic, but a lot of churn

@ali_ndlovu @wisanishilumanimakes Wisani what was your first launch, and what do you think caused churn? Was that inherent to your product, or a function of how you went about launching on PH?

@ali_ndlovu @yukioyama It was called Vooiced - Twitter for voicenotes. https://www.producthunt.com/post... The launch itself was pretty good and got 4th product of the day; however the product wasn't ready. It wasn't easy to add content, and it felt quite empty - with no payment option either. What I'd do differently is improve the UX of the product; and seed the product with content (a la Reddit) before launching

@wisanishilumanimakes @yukioyama I launched https://www.producthunt.com/prod... on February 14. I initially targeted individual users, but unexpectedly, some small business owners also signed up. They were expecting a fully usable product for their businesses. However, we only built an MVP, not a minimal viable product ready for purchase. Painful but necessary lesson!
