What drives you/teams to follow their leader/founder so passionately?

I'm curious about your experiences. Is it about the idea being so innovative that ignites the fire, the characteristics of a leader and the way that communicate or the potential impact of the product that makes them believe in their leaders?

My current lead @imanmoaz has put his trust in me first which made me feel grateful. But he is also a talented and focused developer, and he makes sure that the product we are building (and hopefully launching in a month) is always user centered. He adjusts his solutions to the real use cases, does the reality check quite often and is very easy to communicate with. It all makes following him seamless, it doesn't feel like I have to follow him at all to be honest - it feels as if the whole team is just moving in the same direction, at the same pace, synchronously. And the last, but not least, is that we share very similar values and experiences. I know that it's a coincidence and can't be replicated on purpose, but I think the value fit is something that should be checked during the hiring process, so that the people that end up working in the team will share the same values with the leader / founder. Makes it much easier to inspire team members if they sympathize to their leads from the very beginning.

People > Idea for me. I'm a huge believer of being the average of the 5 people you spent the most time with. If the people have attributes I highly admire and aspire to adopt, then I'm in. The biggest characteristics I admire are: * Compassion * Integrity * Emotional intelligence * Self-accountability
