What factors do you consider before upvoting a product?

I’m new to Product Hunt, so I first look at the tool’s features to see if it’s helpful or not. After that, I upvote it and try using the tool myself.

I only upvote products that solve a real problem for me or my business. They need to have a clean UI, be easy to use, and provide real value. Bonus points if they have a free trial so I can test them out first before committing. I also like upvoting products from indie makers and friends to support their launches.
