What is your biggest platform (if possible, leave the handle or link below) and share your story/experience?
For me, it is Product Hunt (it used to be Instagram in the past)
but as for PH, it was:
π constant (daily) support of people,
π giving them feedback on what can be done better in terms of improving their product, solution etc.,
π engagement,
π providing discussions,
π and later on β connections (like face-to-face calls).
Share your approach to your most successful platform. π
[out of topic BUT... today, I will be sharing in my newsletter 2 aspects of video production that can increase the chances of it becoming more viral (on Instagram) β I will demonstrate examples of Reels with 250k+ replays... so if you are interested... see the form in com]. :-)

Being authentic works for me. I think people that then follow me are more likely to support later on. Authentisity compounds. PH: 2k, LI: 1.2k OG's only π (~12months authenticity hustle π€)

@busmark_w_nika It could have been done with bots as well π
, but I suspect the army would be less motivated to like my cringy meme artwork down the line π

Hey Nika, I had an IG account with 844K back in the day. It was all about the audience and nothing about me. I always thought about what value can I add to the audiences lives instead of thinking about myself. I've been out of the social media game for a while now. But now that I have created an online sales course, I need to get back into it.

@busmark_w_nika yeah it is. I was thinking about reviving it. I went through a phase where I was showing people how to cook healthy meals in 15 seconds. I started the channel when Instagram brought out their video feature about 13 or so years ago.

@busmark_w_nika it used to be called VideoMeals

It's LinkedIn. https://www.linkedin.com/company...
Forgot my fav hack β I put an insane amount of time into detailed and sincere comments on PH, Linkedin, and X that I believe would help.
Sometimes I start writing comments and then delete them. Cause I feel that I wrote generic BS and didn't add any value or support to anyone with it.
@busmark_w_nika yep, i got 100X more trust to ppl on PH, that look human too :)
The question is successful in what way?
Would name Linkedin, cause getting traction there helped me make my profile more 'sexy' to accept connect requests. Now it's helping to get some feedback.
What has helped me most:
1. Posting 5d a week min
2. Picking a selected list of accounts in our area (People & Culture) and commenting 5d a week
3. Using visuals. Videos, memes, product screenvideos
4. Connecting requests w/o notes with
* People writing regularly in People & Culture
** People commenting or liking regularly those who write about HR
*** Founders and PH folks
Started being active ~3 w ago, got + 460 followers, 18,8% in 28 d
Still learning how to write better

@busmark_w_nika btw practical tip β supermeme is the best AI, choosing meme template for your text
https://app.supermeme.ai/text-to...
50% of time I dont have a template pic in mind and have to search. And they help quite well
@busmark_w_nika cant say for sure yet, experimenting
β’ Memes worked, but only when I put a meme + thoughtful post.
Standalone memes performed meh
β’ Talking head sometimes performed better than a post with a pic or just text.
But a few times looked like i had missed with subject
β’ I moderately use cringe. But in most cases I try to sound nothing alike *Top Linkedin Voice*

Definitely LinkedIn. I have found X (twitter) a hit or miss. I'm finding social platforms like meta, insta and tiktok as interesting places to also grow your audience. https://www.linkedin.com/company...

@busmark_w_nika I focus on the story and the value. In most cases its about building up a compelling narrative that people resonate with. What about you?

@busmark_w_nika Thank you for following!
For me, Twitter is where I thrive. I love the fast-paced nature and the ability to engage in real-time conversations.

Still Youtube. Cuz it can take real conversion to my product.
Also, super love ph as it's an amazing platform for every new product!

I like your channel! Here are some optimization suggestions:
- YouTube Banner: Make it clearer about what you offer to your audience.
- Video Thumbnails: Avoid using Canva templates to stand out more.
- Content:
1. Build different playlists. It's okay to add the same video to multiple playlists to enhance clarity.
2. I love your shorts! Consider adding some animations; it would be super helpful.
3. For video titles, research the search volume of related keywords and incorporate the top ones. Additionally, include specific data like "How I made $30k in 3 months," etc.
If you think it's helpful, dm me on tw, i can give more specific suggestions.

For me, consistency was a game-changer. I made sure to post regularly and interact with my followers, which really helped build a strong community. Collaborating with others in my niche also brought in fresh eyes and new followers. And honestly, staying on top of trends and making sure my content resonated with my audience kept them engaged and coming back for more.
