I'm wondering what was the best thing that really pushed you forward as a PM. Either if it was reading books, listening to podcasts, mentoring, etc.

It's a bit cliche, but I think I grew the most from experience and having the opportunity to work on complex projects that were destined to fail. You get a feel for what can go wrong, what questions to ask, gathering information, managing expectations, and how to get the most out of the team. It's inspiring to learn about new PM concepts from books/podcasts/etc, but at the end of the day all that matters is if the team executes.

@mattli I agree, the experience is invaluable but you also should be allowed to fail. Are you trying to incorporate something you learned to your processes?

@pm_optimizer Not at the moment. As a solopreneur my process consists of some light sprint planning for myself and sprawling to-do lists.

My intention is to solve the problem on the product team. This thing pushes me to spend some time on quick research, quick research can give me new knowledge then try to discuss it to sharpen this.

@pm_optimizer not sure about "iterations" because I can say its linear progress when you push your self, you will get more knowledge and lead you to solve the problem. How long it depend on how smart we do this

@daniel_roy93 How many iterations it takes to get to the point where the problem is solved?

Probably youtube. There is a lot of free information about really successful people in the startup world that is precious.

@joanduarte What channels helped you the most? There's a lot of content on YouTube so it's always hard to choose.
