Haruki Murakami wrote a brilliant book about running (what i talk about when i talk about running). https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2195464.What_I_Talk_About_When_I_Talk_About_Running For those who have not tried running, i can recommend it for the following reasons: 1. Running helps you be with yourself. No screens, no thoughts, just you with yourself. Some people say "i dont like running" but what they really mean is "i dont like being with myself". 2.Running releases all sort of happy hormones/drugs in your blood and your brain. 3. When you complete a run, you have actually completed something. This increases your self esteem and perception of self worth. 4. Running helps you sleep better. Sleeping better means living better. 5. When you run, you always strive for better results : this can mean improve your time, pace, or go for longer distance. Running makes you strive for continuous improvement. This attitude can easily flow in other areas of life. I started running when i quit smoking and i am now a half marathon runner. I am planning to run a marathon in 2023. How has running helped you?
