Here are the steps I usually follow:
1. Define clearly which pain points are you solving
2. Navigate on forums & communities (inc Reddit and niche websites) and collect data on the pain point people and encountering (why, current solutions, ...). For few weeks, exchange with the members (create trust and better know your potential customers)
3. Create a figma of your product + a landing page to tease and capture emails
4. Share on forums to get feedback of the idea
5. Spot the characteristics of your ideal customer (professional situation, what they like, what they do, ...)
6. Get virtual / IRL interviews to have deeper chats on the pain point and your solution

@gaetanlegac This is gold 🙌
@gaetanlegac Love the detailed approach! Building trust and understanding potential customers is key.

It seems the best way to test ideas is to find real users who need the product. Talking to them and ideally setting up a beta test can be very insightful. This way, you can validate your hypothesis and figure out the best way to build your MVP 👀
@georgestrunin Absolutely!
I prefer to do this with an MVP. It's not the fastest way, but it's the most reliable.
Depends what you're testing for. If you're testing the market, I think landing page tests work great. Set up a quick landing page test, and see what CPA is to drive trafffic. If you can convert a few subscribers, even better, as you can reach out and interview them.
