For our product, we check for successful sign-ups from each marketing campaigns. We look at how many impressions we received --> sign ups --> perform one action in the product --> return next day --> convert to lifetime users in short - cac, ctc, and D-30 retention after a campaign

The key performance indicators (KPIs) we focus on in our marketing efforts include: 1. Conversion Rate: Measures the percentage of website visitors who take a desired action, such as making a purchase or filling out a form. 2. Return on Investment (ROI): Calculates the profitability of our marketing campaigns by comparing the gain from the investment to the cost. 3. Traffic Sources: Analyzes the origin of website traffic to understand the effectiveness of different marketing channels (organic search, paid advertising, social media). 4. Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC): Evaluates the cost associated with acquiring a new customer, helping to assess the efficiency of our marketing spending. 5. Customer Lifetime Value (CLV): Estimates the total value a customer is expected to bring to the business over their entire relationship, guiding long-term marketing strategies. These KPIs collectively guide our marketing decisions and allow us to measure the impact and efficiency of our campaigns across various channels.

@alvarovillalb_ What's the minimum number of days you need for somebody to qualify as a DAU?

@aris_nakos I'm looking for DAUs, so just one day. I believe what you're asking for would be DRU (Daily Retained Users)...

We went through a complete journey of evaluating the key metrics we wanted to focus on as an early-stage company and finally came down to some really crude, but first principle ones, which are website visitors and product sign-ups. We keep tracking different sub metrics which are more channel specific like social media engagement or seo performance, but all GTM efforts must lead to some movement in the two mentioned above. Hope this helps! Some of the other comments were super useful. :)

Couldn't find one unique relevant metric for marketing so we came up with the Air Score, a new metric to understand how you use your social media accounts as a company

1. Click-through-rate (CTR) 2. Conversation rate 3. Email open rate / reply rate 4. Daily visit on website / landing page 5. Monthly active users (MAU) 6. Customer acquisition Cost (CAC) 7. Customer lifetime value (CLTV) 8. Churn rate I think these are important to track how efficient you marketing efforts can be over time 🤔

@rick_fan to track them or to set them up?
Jonathan Tahiry
@rick_fan Well it really depends on your funnel, because you’d need to set it up the righ way. Let’s take an example, let’s say you running an add on Facebook and your goal in to increase traffic on your website. In that case you’d track the CPC and the CTR on Meta Ads native platform, and later on you’d need Google Analytics to check the number of visitors you gained through that particular campaign. So that very case you would use 2 tools : Meta Ads and Google Analytcis (yes! It could get even more complicated at times). But that’s my method and I’d love to hear it out from other members!
