What kind of recommendations would you appreciate from Product Hunt?
Personalization is becoming more and more of a norm and expectation on the internet and IRL experiences. IMO, if I am an active user somewhere, I will happily provide signals (within reason) to personalize my experience.
We’re working on some ways to improve recommendations on Product Hunt, and I'm curious to get your input on the topic.

Heavier weight on interests from the profile. I have just updated my profile after years of just a few interests. I went though and took my time picking things I like, interested in, and want to see and I had no idea there were so many available that it makes me wonder what I might have been missing in my feed all this time!
@juliomedina Totally! Or a system like Pinterest where you can make collections and choose which collections factor into what's shown on your homescreen. It's a pretty neat feature
@juliomedina @naomichao totally agree - the current interest picker is pretty hidden in profiles and Pinterest does a great job of making this experience seamless!
Great question. Would be great if I can add my interests, favorite industries, etc in order to have recommended products for me tailored to my preferences.
I'd love it if PH could learn which types of products I want to see the most. Whether that's by measuring how long I spend on a launch page, the upvotes I give, my reviews of similar products, etc. Like how Pinterest and Etsy learn from your browsing history (and collections/interests) to show you stuff they know you'd like.
