For me, it was this:
“If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable"
I was 13, it was on the load screen of the PC game "Rome: Total War" and it made me really think about my life goals for the first time in my life. It's Seneca's (Jr) quote.

As cliché as it sounds, Rome wasn't built in a day.

@ervinkalemi Forget the Gladiators and Philosophers. You can even forget the Empire and its Caesars - but you can rest assured Rome will never be forgotten just thanks to this one quote alone. Rome will be remembered till the end of time 💪

@ervinkalemi yeah that's a catchy one, and helps pull yourself together when you can't get quick results.

@philipsnyder 100%, that's the small daily routines that build success long-term, not dramatic sprints that we tend to brag about

I read a book about the history of the development of human language called The Language Instinct. One of my favorite quotes from that book was from a guy named Richard Feynman: “Science is not a matter of knowledge, but of trust.” It’s a huge truth. You have to trust something that you don’t know for sure. And that’s why science has a way of keeping people honest: because you can’t do it if you’re not trying. That’s how I feel about everything.
"Your world can be full of problems, but never should a problem be your world."
There is a long story behind this.... was told by my father who was counselling me for my frequent mood swings and aggressiveness almost like all day everyday during my early stage of life. I can still remember that day as fresh as it is like this very moment. Starting that day, life has become peaceful every day...no matter what happened.
Showing up every single day is the key.
