Make sure to spend the last few minutes of the old year reflecting on the good moments

I always spend the New Year's Eve with close family. There's something special about ringing in the new year surrounded by loved ones

Take a moment to reflect on all the things I'm grateful for from the past year.

Most people count down to midnight - I count down browser tabs. My New Year's tradition is closing every single tab I've kept open 'just in case.' Weirdly satisfying way to start fresh.
Cooking Hoppin' John, a dish featuring back-eyed peas. It's a regional dish in the US--it's supposed to be lucky. 🍀

I close out all my work tasks and projects before the new year hits. Something about starting the year with a totally clean slate and fresh to-do list. 🗓️ Then on New Year's Day I take some time to reflect, set intentions, and plan out my goals for the next 12 months. 🎉 Always feels great to kick things off on the right foot! 💪
