Google Sites is an underrated builder with a level of free other apps don't even come close to. It doesn't have any paid tier and offers free hosting. You can even connect it to a custom domain that you own for free. The actual designs you can create are mind blowing considering it's dedicated to beginners
@luciantartea Thanks for sharing this. I completely forgot about Google Sites but the new version really looks promising. Will try this for a new site.
I really liked Duda for agency work / managing clients pages. Webflow seems to be the goto for high-touch implementations. Bubble is good for creating something more like a web app if you are looking for no code tool
If it really has to be completely free WordPress is hard to beat because there are many awesome free themes and starter kits that allow you to almost build anything. For Static Websites I like Bootstrap Studio which is only $29 to build unlimited sites.
Joonweb.com is a best website builder, here you can create informative or eCommerce website without knowledge of coding.

For me, it is a combo WordPress + Elementor
I work with Wordpress on a daily basis but it’s not exactly free. You need to host it and get a domain. The market leaders like Wix and Squarespace (I quite like this) offer free versions but they display adverts on them.
I’m about to launch a prototype of a brand new web builder which will be completely free with no adverts. Please check out the landing page here - https://webwizod.com.
Let me know your thoughts.
@dracreate Very cool, I tried most web builders but as a heavy WordPress user Wix, Squarespace, Duda, etc. don't really appeal to me and if you want to build a lot of sites they get too expensive as well. Looking forward to what you are building.
After using Wordpress for almost a dozen years now, it's still one of the best free builders out there because of all the plugins available and massive support for pretty much any issue. You'll still have to pay for hosting and custom url's unless you use Wordpress.com.
