what’s the best newsletter tool for product marketing? any hidden pitfalls to watch out for?

hey product hunt people! 👋
i’m in process of launching a newsletter to support my new product. and i’m trying to decide on the best tool to get started. my goal is to build an engaged community around the product, share insights and updates on our 'build in public' story.
there are too many options: substack, mailchimp, convertkit, beehiiv, etc. and it’s a bit overwhelming.
here’s what i’m looking for:
• ease of use: i need something intuitive since i want to focus more on content and engagement, not learning complex software.
• affordable pricing: i’m just starting out, but i want a platform that can grow with me.
• growth potential: features like automation, segmentation, and referral programs would be great as my subscriber base grows.
i’m also curious about any hidden pitfalls i should watch for:
• are there platforms that make it hard to export your subscriber list later on?
• do costs increase significantly as your list grows?
• how do these tools handle deliverability? (i don’t want emails ending up in spam folders!)
if you’ve used a newsletter tool to support your product launch, i’d love to hear about your experience. what worked well? what should i avoid?
thanks in advance for your insights! 🙏 and if you’ve got general tips on building a successful product newsletter, i’m all ears! 😊
p.s. keep an eye out: i’ll be sharing updates about the product launch soon! 🚀

Here are my suggestions:
Since deliverability is a crucial factor, I believe Substack should be excluded from consideration due to its issues in this area. Both Mailchimp and ConvertKit have good deliverability rates.
ConvertKit offers 1,000 free recipients for your newsletter, but it has less customization. On the other hand, Mailchimp provides more customization options, but is limited to 500 recipients.
As for beehiiv, I'm not familiar with it, so I can't provide any insights.
