    Project delays are inevitable; it's better to estimate development time in advance and break down goals into smaller modules for completion

    Totally feel this. A failed project taught me the importance of ruthless prioritization. Trying to do too much led to a lack of focus and missed deadlines. Now I zero in on the 1-2 most critical things and make sure those get done before taking on more. Keeping the scope tight has really improved my success rate on projects since then.
