What's the worst advice you ever got?

We've all heard good advice here and there, but curious to see if any of y'all have gotten really bad advice in your respective careers? I'll start -> During my first internship, my manager told me to never question him. As a naive 17-year-old, I followed it to the book and executed campaigns that had no clear goals. Needless to say, we didn't generate many (if any) returns. Since then, I've made it a point to not be afraid of authority and not assume that someone is right just because they're in a higher position than me.
