What's your favorite daily routine that helps you stay productive when working on side projects? πŸŒ…

Mine is having a solid morning routine which includes meditation, coffee, and lo-fi vibes. If I can master my morning, it usually sets the tone for the rest of the day. πŸ˜ƒ What about you?

Your morning routine is on point. I also like to plan out my day in the morning using an Apple shortcut I made. Part of the shortcut is asking me for three inputs to jot down the most important work items to get done in the day. Outside of that, it depends on how much attention one of my side projects needs but I tend to listen to music or podcasts.

I find that having a consistent routine and setting daily goals is key to staying productive when working on side projects. For me, that means dedicating a set amount of time each day to work on my project and making sure to take breaks to avoid burnout. I also like to use productivity tools like Trello and Pomodoro to help me stay on track and manage my time effectively. And of course, a good cup of coffee always helps me stay focused and motivated!

There are some good ideas for morning routine in The Miracle Morning book. I don't remember if this is from that book, but for me one key is to focus first on work that is important to me as opposed to checking email which can lead to tangents and tasks that are related to other people's agendas. In the context of the question above, that important work would be the work related to the side-project. This especially applies to creative work like writing or problem solving. I find it's easier to be productive on that when my mind isn't full of whatever has been happening during the day.
