from what I have seen - active engagement with the community and low expectations. It also seems like folks tend to pay a set of the same people to promote their lists outside of the PH environment - that seems to help unless its flagged of course.

Build your base. Use social media (especially Buildinpublic on Twitter), newsletters. Make sure you’ve got a squad ready to back you up on launch day.
