  • What's your top tip to convert your users on your website? 📈

After roasting over 50 websites this week, the #1 thing that founders shy away from doing is installing a free website chat widget, which is such a powerful tool to convert your users. Also, the job of a founder is to talk to a lot of users in the early days. So give a mechanism for your users to do that frictionlessly. It's also important because most landing pages aren't optimized for optimal messaging and users will bounce if you won't be able to answer their questions through your copy. So go ahead and take a free plan say from Hubspot, which gives you the chat widget, and install it on your website. Connect Hubspot to your Slack workspace, if you have one, and then boom it will feel like you're talking to your other co-founder. Try it! What's your top tip? 🤓

This is so true, Frank! Definitely one of the most important stuff to consider, if not the most. Btw, we're just working on having a chat widget on our site as well. :)

Frank, awesome tip!🤝 I'm launching my new web-app soon, and I'm working on a video/gif to show to first-time Users that will show them how to use it. I wasn't planning to add a chat widget since I think the video will show Users all they need to know, but I'm going to look into this today. Might have to add one. Thanks for the info!

Update: I finished my video and it was too large to load efficiently, even after compressing... It will be good to use for social media, so it wasn't a complete waste of my time. I think I'm going to go with a guided tour of my home page, using overlays that point to/describe elements on the page. I still may add chat widget 🤷‍♂️
