What type of CRM are companies using?

Is there a standard CRM platform that companies are using? Or is it all personal preference? As we grow as a company, I am finding that a good CRM that fits our needs is difficult to come across. I am noticing that there doesn't seem to be any sort of standard layout and functions. I like the ones that you can use shortcuts like CTRL-D to just pop up dialing info, etc. Any suggestions out there that are not overly complicated? Thank you.
