For those who celebrate, I'd love to hear about the present you love the most. For me it was my first *good* chef knife, partly because of just how good it is but mainly because of who it came from

@syswarren I have scrolled up and down the topic and realized all best Christmas presents were related to food and drinks, me as well 😆

When I was 8 my grandma got me a solid gold (color) Christmas dress. I had to open it before my cousins arrived for Christmas so they wouldn't be jealous. So, then I got more presents later too:)
PlayStation :) And I love my wife for that :)
These were definitely some unexpected toys in my childhood. It never mattered if it was expensive or not. The meaning was the most important. Nowadays I like to make surprises. And giving emotions I like the best. I'm happy to see https://groupon.pissedconsumer.c... I'm not the only one.

A toy collection of Mickey Mouse 😂
The best Christmas present I ever received was a time-traveling DeLorean. As soon as I saw it, I knew that it was the perfect gift. I immediately hopped in and traveled back to the Jurassic period, where I spent the day exploring the ancient forests and encountering all sorts of dinosaurs. It was a truly incredible experience that I will never forget. When I returned to the present, I was grateful to have such a unique and special gift to remember the day by.

@anshaj_goyal Sounds more like a Christmas "past" than a Christmas "present" 😉

@anshaj_goyal Okay you win
A present is always delightful irrespective of what it is.
Hero's Quest board games from my parents when I was 9.
That was truly something special. When you get old, the thrill of opening presents, is toned down.
Nowadays it's just socks or books.
Cant say its the same feeling.
For a Chef however, a chef knife is an excellent and most useful gift!

Though I do not celebrate Christmas, somehow I'm still stuck on the gift that Harry Potter receives on Christmas-- The invisibility cloak.

The year is 1996 Snow is coming down and my brother and I anxiously wait in our rooms for the go-ahead from Mom and Dad to burst through our doors and into the living room. There it is, under the tree. Could it be?! It's about the right size, 10" tall, maybe 24" wide. We tear into it like a couple of wild animals. There it was, Nintendo 64. A core memory.
