What would you tell your 18-year-old self when it comes to business?

At 18, I had no idea that I wanted to do business.
I knew I liked a certain kind of autonomy, but I didn't know what to call it.
If I had to say some words to myself, they would be these:
– Do more of what you like.
– Stop worrying about what others will think.
If I applied these two things, I would definitely be more "entrepreneurial".
What would you say to yourself?

@jai_singhal I need to apply now! :D But happens only the first part of the statement (unfortunately)
Launching soon!
Believe in myself
Launching soon!
@busmark_w_nika I honestly wish I did too.
Oh wait, I might have had one such poster but don’t think the words meant much to me back then. Now I truly know what they mean

@sudha_reddy The best thing we can do is to live according to that. But it is not so easy (especially at young age when one is moldable and highly influenced by others' opinions) :)
@sudha_reddy what a great thought! you are absolutely right

@boris_moris44 :DDDDD This is something I say myself even now :D but I also have in mind the anxiety and FOMO that come with crypto.

@a_chenchen This looks like many people out there had a problem with self-confidence. 😅 I can relate!
Make more mistakes, it's the best way to learn

@antonio_scardovi Deep thoughts. Sometimes, I am afraid of making mistakes even now. Keep learning Antonio (and me too!) :)

Fail fast, learn faster.
The key is not to avoid failure but to bounce back from it.
Every mistake teaches you something valuable.

@piotr_bartoszek Didn't say it was one of those famous indie makers? :D Levelsio or Marc Lou?

@busmark_w_nika Yeah, the harder part is not knowing how deep our thinking needs to be. A lot of times, we try to think a bit deeper, but only when we fail do we realize just how shallow we were being.

Thanks for sharing your journey and wisdom! It's inspiring to hear how you've navigated towards entrepreneurship by focusing on what you love and letting go of others' opinions.
I would say:
“Learn to code and start building stuff for you and your friends.”

@nathancovey How did you make yourself coding? (I am trying to do the same but somehow I lack inner motivation to create something meaningful when it comes to programming)

nothing you do now matters. but its very important that you do it

@sentry_co hasn't it formed you the way you are now? (:
FlowLayout
@busmark_w_nika exactly. that's the point of the saying. It feels like it doesn't matter at the time. But it will make sense later. With this mindset selling sunglass on the beach or lemonade outside your house has a meaning. It's an oxymoron. 😸

@sentry_co I feel that vibe
believe and keep persistence
Don't give up an asset.
I’d tell my younger self: learn to code.

"The best time to plant a tree was ten years ago; the second best time is now."
I would tell my younger self to enojy life before getting fully comitted to creating a business.
Ask for help from those who have more experience than you. Don't be shy, and they love to help.
Tell my 18-year-old self: Start before you're ready.
The biggest mistake? Waiting for the ‘perfect’ moment.
Spoiler: It never comes.
