Where do you find where your audience hangs out online?

Let's say you are building something for cyclists or social media managers or whoever - do you use anything to find the forums or communities where these people hang out? Or just start from subreddits and Twitter and go from there? If I wasn't an engineer I wouldn't even know about PH and Indiehackers etc 😬
