Hello :) This is my first post here, so I wanted to say hi, and also pick your brains as to what trends/blogs/commentators you find most interesting in regards to the future of social technology. I'm especially looking for non-fatalist takes on the subject, possibly around human thriving and creativity, as opposed to alarmism, addiction, ad-tech, fighting misinformation and blah. In other words, we all know social media is messed up etc. but I'm trying to better understand the current online social zeitgeist, or what people deeply crave or miss. Thanks a lot for any tips!

Super interesting topic, I would say: - AI-assisted content generation - Web3 social media and networking - AI reasoning integrated into social interaction bots - relevant programmatic SEO

@said_aitmbarek Yeah 51% attack is possible, but I guess the community can fork away from the aggressor, costing him resources and giving little in return.

@said_aitmbarek cool insight, thank you. I second Web3 solutions, they seem inevitable, given the amount of censorship and war on free speech, under the guise of whatever "current ideology".

@marcin_zietek Totally agree with you! Decentralized blockchain networks carry this promise: censorship is impossible since information cannot be siloted/contained within a single node. Web3 protocols are also mainly open: we all can access their historization data. However, beware that the choice of the network matters a lot: indeed, a single "actor" may control more than 50% of the network's nodes. This fraction is enough to switch from a decentralized to a virtually centralized paradigm, again ;)
