Which tools do you use to create Product Hunt launch video?

I see a lot of awesome product videos people make for their product hunt launch. I wanted to make one but was told it would take a month and cost a couple thousand dollars. Are their cheaper tools that you can use to DIY it?

Iβm on the same boat! For a cost-effective and quick solution, Iβm considering using Loom to create a personal walkthrough-style demo. It seems great for capturing screen recordings and adding a personal touch with your narration. If the visual presentation from Loom doesnβt meet my expectations, I plan to edit it using Adobe Premiere or Hit Film Express (Free) to polish it up and add any necessary enhancements. But yes if you are considering Motion Graphics I would recommend After Effects instead.

@dpakmenon cool thanks. How is the learning curve for Premiere or After Effects?
Designer))))))
@julia_zakharova2 You mean, hire a designer or is that the name of a tool?
@paul_richards1 hire) like fancy.design
@julia_zakharova2 their prices are pretty fancy. $5,990/mo is a bit much for us right now.
@paul_richards1 This is a set of tasks, not just one. There are also specialist video editors who do just this.
I personally make a simple video myself in Movavi.
@julia_zakharova2 Ill have a look at Movavi - thanks.
We use the Fiverr platform, where you can get excellent videos at good prices. They review the design until you are 100% satisfied.

@paul_richards1 apologies Paul, didn't think you would mind.
I use Adobe Premiere Pro,The video is not very professional.First launch,
Lmk if you're launching as well, would love to support π
@scofield1982 thanks Michael. Yes we are launching on Monday. Hopefully I will have my video by then. If all else fails, I will just go with Loom. Here is our launch page: https://www.producthunt.com/prod...
Hi Paul, you can use for example canva for a DIY π₯
@herwig_kusatz Awesome, thanks for the tips. Ill give it another go this weekend.
@herwig_kusatz thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but I couldn't get something I liked. The templates look a bit generic for me.
@paul_richards1, for example, I didn't use templates, which can be tempting π. Instead, I focused on making my message, the text, dance πΊ.
P.S. Recall looks good. I'll give it a spin.
@paul_richards1 Today we launched on product hunt and I did the simple launch text video with canva. Nothing fancy but I think it works fine. Probably the music also helps π
Hi Paul,
For creating Product Hunt launch videos, I exclusively use Loom. It's quick and easy to use, perfect for screen recordings and voiceovers. Here's why I recommend it:
Ease of Use: Simple setup and intuitive interface.
Speed: Create and share videos quickly without extensive editing.
Cost: Free with basic features, which are usually enough for most launch videos.
By focusing on clear, concise content, you can create effective launch videos without spending a lot of time or money.
