Why does Product Hunt not use DATES on submissions, comments, etc?

They must have a reason for not including dates on anything. I mean, like the date submitted, or date of comments. I think they want to keep everything looking fresh, even through the product page or conversation may be several years old … … I find it a bit frustrating, because it's low context / less information scent. What's your opinion? Why do you think they made this decision??
