With the popularity of web apps they're all a lot more similar. Though there are still exclusives (Final Cut Pro for mac only).

@between_team true that web apps made the difference less of a problem but some kind of software is still not available as web app (video editing, IDE, as an example)

Linux. Use the thing that your code will run on. (developers point of view)

I hate Mac, feels so limited on software. For desktop I use a Windows, and anything development or scripting related I use linux.

@richw what kind of software you can’t find on Mac? I would say the opposite, some software is only available on Mac

Macs for graphic work, for audio quality. And Linux for everything else.

I don't like using MacBooks because they are not suitable for using Microsoft office. For me, it is the most convenient base because you can install the whole package of Office documents, which you can use for calculations, document assembly, etc. My job involves calculating progress reports, so I use Excel most of the time. At the same time, to be more profitable, I install the full package of documents at once because it allows for covering a larger range of work. For myself, I found the official license here https://mysoftwarekeys.com , perhaps some of you will find it useful. I would also like your advice on how to choose a better laptop?
