Nah, wouldn't let my kids use most social media. Too much toxic crap and privacy issues. Maybe when they're older and can handle it better.

@simonas_kauzonas Cool. Same here. But I trust a social media medium must be able to cover a kid's innocent for innocent people - for young generation. wetlk is here with that vision.

Not at all. The content can be too mature, and it’s hard to control what they’re exposed to. I’d rather they stick to safer, kid focused platforms.

@zaheer_khan19 It definitely should be. Actually, my goal in the question is not only to have children/teens use an existing or new social media medium but to improve existing ones or to have a new, more properly positioned, safe product. The likely age of using a phone is in the single digits and as you said, it is getting harder to control. In this context, we have developed a great product that controls and moderates content. It's wetlk; you may find its link in my bio And, it will be more ready for this goal as the day goes by. Our expectation is that people will use it with increasing frequency and create a safe social media goal. We think that it will be one of the best investments to be made especially for our future, the youth.

I think i would prefer kids to go on social media when they are about to go to college so they are more aware of things. P.S. I would love to get your thoughts on the discussion that I recently posted and your views on it. - What’s Missing in Your Favourite Startup Newsletters?

@abhimanyu_kapoor Agree. You inspired me to say that a social media must clean and trustworthy even for a kid, and must used by an adult. I don't mean hkids can us, nope - rule must work. But the medium must be moderated. This is how wetlk work and we are developing it for even much better.

I allow them only with restrictions

@stephen_maden Same here! Do you think current social media apps/platforms/mediums are ready to build any restrictions technically - by the nature of the app design?

Nope, no way I'd let my young kids use social media these days. Too many creeps, bullies, and bad influences out there. Maybe when they're mature enough to handle that stuff. Gotta protect them while they're still impressionable, ya know?

No way, social media is way too toxic and addictive for kids. All the comparison, cyberbullying, inappropriate content... I'm keeping my kids off that as long as possible. Maybe when they're teens and we've had lots of talks about healthy boundaries and critical thinking online. Even then I'll be monitoring closely.

I mean it's part of the life now, I think we just can't implement boundaries without thinking of how the surroundings are.
