Would you postpone your projects due to a recession?

It depends. You may have to assess the potential risks to your project. And recession is not something that anyone should take lightly, and if you think it could derail your project, then you should look into mitigating those risks. Are investors still interested in your project? Could you reduce costs elsewhere? Is it time to rethink your project layout? The answers to these questions will give you a better idea of what steps to take.

@qudsia_ali Totally agree but the main issue with the assessment remains the timeline. Those events do not really follow patterns.

no, unless if they fall off the priority list of importance

In our case, we know it helps with tighter budgets. Coordinate all your promotional projects, run your calculations like CAC, LTV, ROI, ROAS, and more so you know where to put your limited budget.

@guywilliams well it impacts the way you're positioning the product anyway, no? I mean your sales pitch will focus more on budget control in recession time.

@mounir_nejjai Definitely will test the messaging and positioning, absolutely. We probably won't solely focus on just one message. We have a few value props and need to meet users where they are. As a bit of an elaboration... Not all industries will be impacted the same way. On one hand, our messaging can remain the same for part of the audience. On the other hand, an interesting occurrence happens when those who are left after the staff or budget reductions feel overwhelmed having to take on more. That makes it difficult for them too so the value of spending time where it matters will be the same (for us) although we may want to couch it differently.
