ZUCK V MUSK PART II

Threads launched everywhere yesterday (except the EU), and it’s already surpassed 30 million users to the delight of Zuck and the despair of Musk, but the story doesn’t end there. Twitter has reportedly threatened to sue Meta due to the similarity between the two apps.

Today’s Digest at a glance:

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHT
Your very own Italian Grandma

If you’re interested in Italian cooking and you love watching cooking videos, chances are that you’ve heard of Pasta Grannies. If not, it’s a YouTube channel that travels around Italy to meet Italian Grandmas (Nonnas) who show you how to make pasta.

It’s pretty wholesome, and it surged in popularity during the pandemic when we were all cooped up with little to do.

Nonna in your pocket: The only problem is for those of us outside of Italy, the chances of meeting a Pasta Granny are pretty low, but what if you could have your own?

That’s where Nonna MarIA comes in. It’s an AI-powered Italian Grandma (can’t believe we’re writing this sentence).

Nonna MarIA is a social app for all things food related, helping you with recipes, techniques, wine pairings, and more. The cherry on top: she’s multilingual, although the real question, according to Simon is, “Is she multilinguini?”
