A unique and first of it's kind, distraction blocker, which monitors your mouse and keyboards, and FORCES you to Focus on your work. Fidgeting between 100s of tabs? Forget about it. One Website, One Mission, at a time.

Hello everyone!!👋 I'm excited to introduce amine, a powerful unique tool designed to help you stay focused and free from distractions. I made this out of necessity. I just can't stop switching tabs while I must be doing something else! And I have found a lot of people who have faced this. Haven't you? I had tried blockers like Cold Turkey, Freedom, and RescueTime, but they lack a lot of the features I wanted. They leave you dependent upon your willpower, but Will Power is not just enough! I tried to address the things that no other tool seems to eliminate: key combinations, mouse movements to switch tabs, leaving full screen when temptation hits, etc. Although I made it for myself and some other people I know, many knowledge workers will find this helpful. Surprisingly, it already has over 100 downloads(!) and I've been getting a lot of feedbacks from the students who have used it! It also got into the front page of HackerNews on 30th Aug 😎! Over 100 stars🥳 and counting on Github! Amine covers all the extreme cases, giving you a complete solution that keeps you on track. It's a pomodoro timer + distraction blocker, both in one package. If you need any specific feature, please send request here! There are two version - Normal and Strict. The later one has no option to escape, use the one which suits you ;) Please grab the one you prefer. Amine is currently available for Windows, and I'm planning to add even more features based on your feedback. Happy focusing!

I set for a test, and I just realized how frequently I switch between tabs and software. When the mouse cursor kept jumping back to the center of the screen, I felt myself so funny. Congrats on the launch!

@oldmann Oh thanks! It's not just you mate who does that😅

@datavorous Amazing! This is exactly what I've been looking for! Any plans to add analytics or reports to track focus time and productivity over days or weeks? It would be great to see tangible progress and patterns over time.

Incredible launch, Amine team! This tool seems like a must-have for anyone needing a productivity boost. The no-escape strict mode is a bold feature! Are there any integrations planned with task management tools like Trello or Asana to further streamline the workflow?

@renchu_song I have plans to integrate Trello

Congratulations!! Looks great, except for that "Get a life bruh" part. I think you can change the language there to appeal to a larger audience. All the best! 🚀

Congratulations on the Launch! The simplicity and effectiveness of the tool can make a significant impact on the work routine. Though I have some questions how does the blocker determine which sites or content to block, and can users customize these settings?

@kavyaaatripathi Hi! You can enter the url of the site(Text field labeled as "URL") you want to focus on and it'll take you there on its own after you press "Start".
Kavya Tripathi
@datavorous And Ill get no pop ups there after? Correct?
datasaur
Hunter
@kavyaaatripathi If you are referring to system level notifications, then yes, because the window gets full screened. If you mean ad pop ups, then maybe no, most people already use ad blockers or browsers like brave, so there was no point in implementing that
