Jinear Open Source Business Hub

Launched this week
The privacy-first, self-hosted hub for tasks, chat & files
Jinear is the open source hub designed to end app-switching for small teams and solo founders. Most tools force you to jump between Slack for chat, Linear for tasks, and Google Drive for files. Jinear brings them into one clean, self hostable workspace. • Tasks & Projects: Milestones, reminders, and Google Calendar sync. • Team Chat: Real-time channels and DMs. • File Storage: Built-in drive with granular permissions. • PWA: Works natively on mobile and desktop.

Hi Product Hunt! 🫰 I’m the solo developer behind Jinear. I started building this tool a couple of years ago for friends and family. Originally, I tried to launch Jinear as a commercial SaaS. I spent months on working on it but It failed to get paying users. Instead of letting the code collect dust, I decided to open-source it 8 months ago so others could actually use it and host it themselves. Why Jinear? Most teams today have "subscription fatigue." You pay for Slack, pay for Jira, and pay for cloud storage. Jinear is my attempt to bring the essentials: Tasks, Team Chat and File Storage into a single, self hostable hub. What’s new today: Since my first open source release, I’ve been working hard to add: Real-time Messaging: Channels and DMs to replace basic chat apps. Integrated File System: Granular permissions and storage within your projects. Better UX: Refined the PWA and the calendar-to-task workflow. I'm not looking for investors or sales today. I’m looking for feedback. Does the UI feel intuitive? Is the setup process smooth for you? I'll be here all day to answer your technical questions! Repo: https://github.com/140crafts/use... This looks like a great all-in-one, open-source alternative to juggling multiple SaaS tools. I am checking out.
