Mint is a session saver for Google Chrome. Whether you’re juggling between multiple tabs, windows, or even various tab groups, Mint has got it covered. Save your session including windows, their positions, all tabs in all windows and any tab groups.
Hello Product Hunt,
I'm a hobbyist programmer with an affinity for tools that simplify routine tasks. I'm a firm believer in subtracting steps, not just rerouting them. It's with this ethos, I'm excited to introduce my Google Chrome extension: Mint.
Mint allows you to save your complete browsing session—including windows, their respective positions, all tabs, and tab groups—across multiple displays. Save a session, and it's stored in the extension popup, ready to be restored whenever you need it, much like a mint plant sprouting from a single root.
I sincerely hope you find Mint to be a valuable tool in enhancing your browsing experience. Should you decide to give it a try, I would be incredibly grateful for any ratings or reviews on the Chrome Web Store to aid in elevating its visibility to more users.
Simple but effective! 👍🏻 When deep-diving into a subject, I have so many tabs open it's good to save everything and not just bookmark one tab at a time.
@jonas_petit Thanks for your comment. I feel the same way, there's a way to bookmark all tabs in Chrome but I really just wanted the ability to save and restore _everything_.
Alright, time for a confession. I currently have roundabout 80 open tabs in two Chrome windows. I do not even want to know how many times I have lost my current session for various reasons. In some instances, I have to actually restore it via history digging. So hell yeah, I am using this. And I don't even know if there are other extension that do the same, this is the first one I came across and it does exactly what I want. Thanks!
@wintoniak That's great! I'm glad you find it useful. I plan on perhaps adding session history so that you'd be able to browse your session up to some point in the past (eg. 1 week). For your use-case does this sound like something useful for you rather than the manual session management?
@myster_violets Indeed, that would be awesome as it would save the trouble of having to save manually. Saving manually is something I would rather use if I am switching between projects or topics, but some things I just like to keep open all the time and do not want to risk losing. Please make sure to post an update here if this is something you add in the future!
Mint is a great session saver for Google Chrome! It's easy to use and really helpful when you're juggling multiple tabs, windows, or tab groups. Congratulations on the launch of your product!
@narendra_solanki Thanks for your comment. If you do continue to use it, I'd love to hear any feedback you may have.
