Hey Product Hunt! We're excited to introduce Pentra, designed to make life easier for penetration testers. Instead of spending hours on report writing after every pentest, Pentra automatically logs your actions and generates a detailed report for you. This means you can focus on the fun part—testing—while Pentra takes care of the paperwork. We decided to build Pentra after noticing that while the cybersecurity industry is so advanced, there is a huge number of testers who still rely on Google Docs and screenshots to write a report. This is the workflow inefficiency we aim to resolve. We’d love to hear your feedback and answer any questions. How do you currently handle report writing?

Congratulation on the launch! Can you explain what are some of the benefits and features that a pentester can use in Linux CLI & Burp and why are important? Do you also have a roadmap for other integrations?

@andreiavadanei we very much appreciate the questions Our proprietary Pentra agent helps pentesters keep all their information and actions during the engagement into one place. We capture all executed commands, including input and output, and aggregate them into our Pentest Dashboard. Also, with our Burp Integration, pentesters will no longer have to look through endless requests saved in the Burp Repetear. Instead, they can send relevant requests to Pentra, making them accessible way faster by searching for relevant words! Throughout the engagement, pentesters can group this information into vulnerabilities, and at the end, generate the complete report to send directly to the client. Regarding other integrations, we want to make the pentester's life as easy as possible, so we’re looking to integrate with any and all tools that a pentester uses in his workflow. One particular tool that we are very interested in integrating is Nessus, which will enable Pentra to keep all the VA information as well as the pentest information into one single place!
