I have used Trello, and several other Kanban tools to help me manage my company's activities, to plan new activities, and to keep track of personal projects. During one very intense period of tracking several project progresses on Trello, access to the data was interrupted by a log-in issue, and that continued for more than a day - which meant that I could no longer keep my activities and task tracking up to date. I looked for something with a more robust and secure data storage setup and came across Stacks. It had the features I needed, and it had the self-hosting capability which meant that I could have my data secure and accessible even with a poor or even non-existent web connection. As some of my work was in the field, away from internet access, this app allowed me to bring my project management tools with me. A key benefit for me has been the support by the software maker/developer, who has responded to inquiries and feature suggestions with intelligence and fast response. I have upgraded to Version 2 and am very happy with the continued progress. The feature set is powerful, and open to customization, so I can structure various projects in ways that allow me to plan and track them based on their specific needs.

Stacks 2 is not just for teams or business use. I use the app almost daily for personal tasks and projects. I tried many other task management apps before, fortunately, discovering Stacks. It is offline first, and there is no need to be overwhelmed by features that are irrelevant to your workflow. Pretty much any functionality that you don't wish to use can be turned off. Is there is something about Stacks you think could be improved? No problem, just ask. Cris (the maker) welcomes feedback, and is super responsive to feature requests and bug fixes.
