If you've ever tried to teach yourself something off YouTube, you know just how frustrating the process is. Our notetaker changes that. Take notes, create action items, and when you're done sync with your Notion or Trello!
Hey Product Hunt!
My team and I built Terrain, an online learning ecosystem for entrepreneurs. One of our biggest goals was to create an interface that maximized focus, actionability, and retention.
And that was great and all, except we got a little hooked. It made watching YouTube tutorials and courses on other platforms super frustrating.
So we built a Google Chrome extension that lets you embed YouTube videos into our learning interface so you can access our Notetaker and Action Plan Creator to take notes as you watch videos.
You can export your notes to Notion, Google Docs or host them on Terrain. And your Action Items can either remain on Terrain or be pushed to Trello! (Exporting and integrations require a free Terrain account, but the rest can be done without signing up!)

@eman_zabi this is so exciting! I’m definitely using this to record my fitness journey
@mitch_mitchell That’s a great question! Not yet unfortunately, mobile has been a little trickier than the desktop version. But we’re hoping to have it out this year!

This is cool, I love these kind of productivity boosters! And the fact that is syncs with Notion is awesome 🚀 Good job!
Such a creative solution. I'm always needing to pause, go to another tab or window to write, and then going back to the video. Pretty exhausting process that would've been so much easier with something like this!
Thank you! That was my primary frustration too! I first noticed how annoying it was when taking courses on Teachable etc, so we fixed it with the interface we built for Terrain. But then I got so used to being able to take notes easily that YouTube started to annoy me too. And that’s how this happened!
