Wow, this is interesting. For example, if I were doing a course on something, this app could be handy for catching all the small details that you shouldn’t miss out on

Using it for several months already. It just™ works. Finally, I can have the same note-taking workflows for videos as I have for articles and papers—in Notion, where all my stuff is.

Wow, as an ex-English teacher, I like the idea so much! I'm sure a lot of people will find it useful.
Good luck with your launch guys and big congrats!
It's such a great feedback! You are our valued customer and we are always happy to help you!

This is an awesome concept. So cool how you click a button right in Youtube, and it opens in Notion. The UX seems smooth too!

I really love the idea but the execution misses the mark by a long shot for me.
The Pro's I see are:
1. The template in Notion works pretty well
2. The database of notes is a really great idea
3. For note-taking without heavy transcription this seems pretty good
The Cons/My primary issues are:
1. Transcription has zero punctuation so it's just one long run-on sentence with no way to discern who is speaking if there is more than one speaker, so useless for interviews, panels, etc.
2. Can't use in the Notion app, only on the browser
3. The discount code is not on top of the current price, instead it is a replacement for the existing annual discount. So using the PRODUCTHUNT code only saves you a couple dollars over the current annual discount. 🤔
Descript can handle my needs perfectly but the cost is vastly more if you use it a lot like I do.
Sorry, Dima. I appreciate your help today.
Maybe one day in the future with some updates I will try Snipo again but for now I had to get a refund and move on.
Thank you for the feedback!
1. Transcription is auto-generated and has zero punctuation even on YouTube internally which we're using right now. If the video has been uploaded transcription by the creator you got punctuation.
2. Yes, because it browser extension, not a desktop app. You can see notes on the Notion app but not take them. It's enough for most of our users.
3. It's fully clear, not hidden. The discount code is 30% off our current full price on the annual price. The pricing is fully affordable less than 3$ per month on an annual plan and we're really cheap compared to other AI tools on the market. It's early adopter pricing, I consider complaining about a discount not fair for our quality service.
I'm not sure why you've decided to compare us with Descript, we're fully different. The transcript is one of the features, but not the main one. We're for note-takers and lifelong learners, we support learning platforms like Udemy, Coursera, Skillshare, etc. not a tool for transcript videos like Descript. We're fully integrated with Notion to sync your course outlines to take efficient notes
