Hi Product Hunt! 👋 ArachStudio helps designers & developers live-edit codebases & components online. How it works: Connect GitHub via access token. Scan & load your project path. Make real-time style edits in the visual preview (desktop/mobile). Export the final product! Help us decide: We are testing two different demo versions. Try both links and tell us which experience you prefer in the comments!

ArachStudio
@khajieh_manpourian Good — client-side only with instant purge on refresh is the answer I wanted on storage. The other half I am still unsure on: on export/commit, does it push straight to the connected branch, or open a separate branch so I can review the diff before it lands?
ArachStudio
@hi_i_am_mimo No, unfortunately it will instantly push to your repo, but on the platform it will not push until you click on the button, which will give you to test the changes on the environment before you commit with a push and go a live.
Live-editing components straight from GitHub is such a time-saver — usually that loop involves cloning, editing locally, then pushing back. Does it handle merge conflicts if someone else pushes while you're editing live?
ArachStudio
@ark_y_k Unfortunately no, because you are going to pull the code base to the studio and then start to edit it, put we will take in consideration for the Team plan, which possible can make necessary changes to be able to merge.
@khajieh_manpourian Makes sense — merge conflicts get messy fast without some kind of review/consideration step, especially on a Team plan where multiple people could be editing. Good to know it's on the radar even if it's not there yet.

@ark_y_k Feel free to try out the V2 of the product from official website www.studio.arachteceh.am
You can subscribe and get 1 month free trail and it extendable until official launch of the product.
@khajieh_manpourian Appreciate it, I'll check out V2 when I get a chance. A free trial that extends until official launch is a generous way to let people actually live with the product before committing.
Live-editing a connected GitHub repo in the browser with a live desktop/mobile preview is genuinely impressive, especially how cleanly the path scan loads without extra config. Curious how you handle conflicts if someone edits locally while the visual session is open.

@anlmaz0sy8 Merhaba!
a few people in the thread are praising how painless the GitHub token setup is, that's actually the part that'd make me pause. what scope does the token need, can it be limited to a single repo, or does it need broader account access? and is it ever persisted on your servers or only held client-side for the session?
ArachStudio
@galdayan Hey Gal, thank you for the comment. Yes you can set the token on single repo. Whatever the token stored on your browser catch which it will be deleted when you refresh the website, and will not live on the product server, which allow to us minimize the risk of fraud or lost keys. Also I want to invite you to test the demo V2 on our official website, which been improvements on functional and visual parts.

@khajieh_manpourian good to know it's scoped to a single repo and only lives client-side for the session - that's the answer that would actually get me to try it, since a broad account-wide token is where I usually bail on tools like this. Will take a look at the V2 demo.
ArachStudio
@galdayan Thank you for your interest, and I look forward to your feedback on the V2.
@khajieh_manpourian will do - the single-repo scoping was really the answer I needed, good luck with the V2 launch
The GitHub-token connect step is the part I'd want to understand before pointing this at a real repo, since a token that can push edits is a broad grant. When I connect, does ArachStudio take a fine-grained token scoped to one repo, and is it held client-side in my session or stored server-side against my account? On export, does it commit straight to the connected branch or open a separate branch so I can review the diff before it lands?
@hi_i_am_mimo Dear Valeria, the token will be stored just on your side specifically on the browser catch, if you refresh the website you token instantly will be deleted. Also for further security and risk management make sure you select and give access to targeted repo or the folder to toe token.
Congrats on the launch. The live-edit preview idea is genuinely useful, especially being able to switch between desktop and mobile while tweaking styles. One thing I'd love to see is a diff view right inside the editor before exporting, so I can review exactly which lines changed in each file. That would make it way easier to catch accidental edits before pushing back to GitHub.

Tried version A and the live preview felt really snappy when tweaking CSS on my phone view. The GitHub token setup was painless too, which is rare for tools like this.
