What do you think? …

Ivan V. Liu
As it happens, we often overestimate how long a day is and stuff it with as many tasks as possible, but underestimate how powerful three months, six months, or a year can be if a simple yet useful action is practised for even just a few minutes every day. And so day after day, we care much more about getting things done as opposed to moving things forward. It's no surprise that excess is the mark of modernity, but it's also increasingly becoming a hindrance to genuine progress that takes both consistency and tireless tinkering by trial and error. Excess is fragile, whereas progress, by it very nature, is antifragile. The design philosophy behind Progressor is that every fruitful endeavour can be distilled into a handful of actions practised on a daily basis for as long as it takes. Missing one action, you’ll never quite move things forward, but having too many will be sure to drag you down, too. For example, for a startup to take off, solely focusing on product development with no effort done on marketing or sales will not only bankrupt the company but also detach the team from staying in touch with reality. On the other hand, taking meetings all day and talking to a whole lot of irrelevant people incessantly will make the company appear successful but truly hollow inside. Aiming well at a goal doesn't just consist of knowing what you want, but also taking the simple yet necessary actions in the flow of daily consistency. That's how you make incremental progress that compounds overtime. Done right, your life can be unbelievably fulfilling.
