Around 2024, Vibe Coding tools really started to emerge. As a developer, it felt good to know that the coding part was finally solved. But there was this part of me whispering about the essence of development dissipating.
It seemed like something was missing in traditional Vibe Coding. I realized that we were just relying on AI for everything, becoming a bit lazier as the days went by, and slowly forgetting to be the architect.
Yes, coding is solved, but programming stays.
Today, we are introducing a new tech called MAD: Modular AI Development. This lets you build your app in a modular way, so you can become the Master Architect you were supposed to be in the first place.
Contrary to traditional Vibe Coding where 1 AI agent handles the entire codebase, Bendstack deploys 1 AI agent per module. If you have a Login page, there's an agent for that. For your database, there's an agent for that. Even for your logo, there's a separate agent.
What are the benefits of this?
1. 🧠 No Context Pollution. The Login AI Agent will simply focus on the Login functionality and nothing more. This makes hallucinations rare.
2. 🧩 Separation of Concerns. If one of your modules has a problem, it is isolated to that module only, and all other parts of your app remain functional.
3. 🔄 Granular Version Control. You can revert your login page back to v2, while keeping the home page at v5. Each module has its own versioning.
Aside from being Modular, MAD tech also brings:
1. 💎 Predictable Costs. We don't burn AI tokens; we have a currency called "vibes" that has a flat rate per module generation. You'll know how much you spend before you spend it.
2. 🪄 AI-Powered Low Code. We generate the heavy codebase, but you still configure the logic, API secrets, and SQL queries. You get the speed of No-Code while keeping the absolute control of a developer.
3. 🚀 No DevOps. Your app is deployed to a server by default the moment you create it. For other platforms like Android and iOS, you can trigger a deployment right inside the Dashboard.

Breaking the workflow into modular pieces is pretty savvy. One of the hardest things is keeping the map of your app in your head in pure vibecoding scenarios, and the cascading issues are a challenge as you note.
This approach seems like an interesting way to maintain the speed without some of the issues that arise.
@thedatadavis Great to see you, Chris! You nailed the exact problem - losing the mental map and cascading errors is why single-context vibecoding breaks down.
By the way, how did Stock Streaks turn out? I still remember those 90-day AAPL rolling snapshot calculations back in the Backender days. Back then I could only offer the backend, but Bendstack was built to handle both complex data logic and the UI.
