Last time I was here, iOS was just a dream on my roadmap. Today. Blankie is now shipping for iPhone, iPad, Mac and CarPlay!
Here's what I'm most excited about in Blankie 2.0:
Blankie might be the first ambient mixer with CarPlay support. Whether you're a parent in need of white noise for a sleeping kid, or something to help you focus on a long drive, with Blankie you can dial it in from your dashboard.
Added 10 more high-quality sounds for a total of 24 built-in options. I added a lot of highly requested ones like Fan, Airplane, Green Noise, and even some music loops.
But maybe the best feature is that you can now bring your own sounds to Blankie and the app will analyze and live-normalize the loudness to your library automatically.
What hasn't changed: Still no ads, subscriptions, accounts or tracking. Still free. Still open source.
Since my last launch, community translators have helped add even more languages to Blankie, for a total of 12! Collaborating with people all across the planet has by far been one of the coolest parts of doing this.
