Cash Cage tracks every buy-in and cash-out at your home poker game, then works out who pays who. A MILP solver finds the fewest transfers that square the whole table, or you can name a banker and have everyone settle through one person. Save each regular with their Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Apple Cash, or Zelle handle, pick the night's rounding, and share a summary where every payment already has a handle attached

As I started to play loads of poker with my friends in college, keeping track of all the players in and out of the table and figuring out who pays whom at 2:00 AM was not fun. So I decided to build an app to do it for me.
Cash Cage determines the settlement by solving it as a mixed-integer linear programming problem that is solved with Google OR-Tools in C++ and deployed on AWS Lambda. This way, the app returns the absolute minimum number of transfers across the table and not a naive greedy solver who solves in N (count of players) + 1 transfers.
Everything else is too complimentary to the app, such as saving your regulars with their payment handles, configurable rounding for all payments, or even skipping direct settlement entirely and naming a banker for those who do prefer that. Lastly, share the game summary for everyone to see and the payment attached so it settles right in any group chat!
This was built solo using React Native and Expo up front and C++ behind it.
If you are hosting a home poker game, what else would solve the hassle behind it?
