The oddest thing about Castr is that the emails read like a college students writing to his best friend. Here's what they said last week about Facebook switching to secure streaming connections: ... "BUT, this does mean you’ll need a new way to stream to Facebook. What this means for you? Right now, very little :)We’ve added in RTMPS support for Facebook into Castr. So just keep doing what you’ve always done with Castr, and you shouldn’t have any trouble." ... In other words, it was "things are changing but don't worry, we changed too," email. Then, today, unhappily, this is from the email announcing a discontinuation of free services: ... "What will happen to my free account? Don’t worry, you won’t be left high and dry. We got your back. You’re being grandfathered in. Starting tomorrow, we’ll be transferring you to a free 7 day trial account. You can keep using Castr exactly as you always have for the next 7 days. At the end of the trial your streams will be disabled." ... So, Castr's idea of "we got your back" (sic) is they'll give 7 days for you to decide what to do, before disabling your streams. Disappointing. EDIT: This is my first review I've posted, and ProductHunt seems to be strripping line breaks from the "tell us more" section. Apologies.
It's a brilliant all-round service. Highly, highly recommended
I can stream my gaming to Twitch, YouTube Gaming, Mixer and Facebook Gaming simultaneously and with zero fees!
Used this product for almost a year now, it has never failed me. Restreaming to multiple sites is easy and painless and the interface is easy to use. I recommend this product to everyone that wants to stream because I've never seen a service with better pricing and bang for the buck or even a better free service. The free service is the best on the internet, never seen a better option.
