👋 Hey! I’m Moritz, creator of ClipDone. Editing videos is still hard. That isn't surprising because it didn't really change for the last few decades. Learning to edit yourself takes time and will only work at first with few videos. So you need to hire. But that costs a lot of focus and flexibility. You need new people, which needs communication and managing. All the usual scaling up stuff... . Or you go with expensive and slow agencies where you have to send timestamped feedback in Slack. I helped build a marketing agency over the last few years and the editing team almost turned into a second company. I've heard of similar situations from other people. You basically need to build a whole editing agency internally. A lot companies then don't even consider doing videos themselves or offering them to clients because its too much effort. Ideally, you should be able to just drop your recorded footage somewhere and then get out a finished video. So you don't have to think about editing anymore. That's what we're building with ClipDone 1. You upload your footage. 2. ClipDone automatically analyzes and edits the clips, creates fitting animations, subtitles, zooms, ... everything needed for a finished short. 3. Download and publish the video. Congrats with the launch!

ClipDone looks solid, good job! The only thing I can dream of is pay-per-clip pricing. I don't usually need to edit videos every month but I need it ocassionally. So I would be happy to pay 15$ per video instead of having a subscription.

Good feedback, I get that!

I've just added an option for $15 once with the credit amount for one video run and two revisions.

I currently think a credit system is best for this option as well.

How long a user needs the credits valid and files kept can be more complicated here as opposed to subscriptions. I will think more about it and see what works.

cool product, I wonder if it support add animation or transition between clips?

It does add transitions between clips where it fits best (like swipe and zoom) and creates custom animations where needed to support and visualize talking points.

It does not connect clips by generating seamless transition sections between them, like some AI video models do, if that’s what you mean.
