Hi Product Hunt! We are super excited to share Coding Font, a fun little app to help you find your true love of coding fonts through an exciting tournament-style game! āš”ļø (Squid Games šŸ”ŗ šŸ”“ 🟄, anyone?) šŸ¤” Why did we build Coding Font? We are passionate about design and fonts. Also, this is personal -- As devs, we spend a lot of time staring at our screen coding. The coding font that we spend 8 hours a day staring at affects our productivity and comfort. I'm picky about coding fonts and like to experiment with settings to find the optimal balance. Like most people, I feel helpless when choosing fonts from a long list; they all start to look the same to me after a while when my eyes get fatigued. This is especially true for coding fonts, as they inherently share mono-spaced characteristics. Then I thought: How about looking at two fonts at a time and picking the better one, rinse and repeat in a tournament style until you have the winner? That way, you'll have some fun and find the perfect font. We hope this unique app experience makes your time worthwhile and allows you to find the most pleasing and comforting font that will skyrocket your productivity! ⭐ Features: - Choose your favorite coding fonts and pit them against each other - Eliminate font in rounds of bracket match to get your ideal font - Tournament map of all the fonts you have picked - Browse fonts and compare any two fonts of your choice side by side šŸ”® Future Plans: - Add more fonts - Suggest yours! Feel free to tweet @DesignJokes if you have any feature ideas We also wrote a blog post about how we created this app using low code: https://retool.com/blog/how-i-cr... Let us know below if you have any feedback or questions about Coding Font! - Wenting & Hua

We just added a new feature to answer popular demand: Blind Mode! Give it a try!
Hieu
I love the "Browse Fonts" feature, what a satisfying experience for quick font comparing. Congrats on the launch 🄳
Wenting Zhang
@hieussr1 Thanks Hieu! Yeah agree, to be honest, I am ashamed to call myself a designer – without putting these coding fonts side by side, they all look the same to me. lol
Hua Shu
@hieussr1 thank you so much for your kind words, Hieu!
Hieu
@wenting_zhang2 Lol, same for me for comparing. They always need to be side by side to track the difference. Especially for fonts, some of them are so similar

This is a great idea, saves lots of time installing a font and trying it, then repeating over and over :)
Wenting Zhang
@compileswift I can't tell how much time I wasted doing that! lol. This, and color theme, forever journey while I continue to code!
Peter Witham
@wenting_zhang2 Yep that whole 'I hate these theme today' feeling gets me
Liana Adamyan
Brilliant idea, congrats on the launch!
Wenting Zhang
@liana_adamyan Thanks Liana!
Hua Shu
@liana_adamyan thanks so much Liana!
Assaf Dudai
V cool. As a non-dev, but a lover fonts, do you guys thinking of taking this outside the coding realm?
Wenting Zhang
@assaf_dudai totally! We are font lovers. This gives us great direction to pursue.
Francoo
genius UI. I would use this for workshops to get people to express opninions. Does this app works for something that is not fonts? Just static images, one next to each other ?
Wenting Zhang
@francoolaami I build it with NoCode / LowCode tools, I can totally see it adapted with other usage easily. I will publish an article about how to build this tool using NoCode/LowCode! Stay tuned!

Very good
