Making hardware used to take weeks of learning CAD, sourcing compatible parts, and writing firmware. With Confetti, it starts with a conversation. Create and edit designs, find components, and order printed parts straight to your doorstep. Start from scratch or remix a community project to make it your own.

Hey everyone! We’re Tianyi and Lucas, cofounders of Confetti (YC F26). We're two UPenn CS dropouts who love building. Between us, we’re 9x hackathon winners and have conducted research at Stanford and Wolfram. But, when we entered the world of hardware and wanted to build a home AI device for themselves, we found ourselves faced with more questions along every step of the process. Which connector did we need for this? Would the components fit inside the case? Where could we buy the parts, and when would they arrive? Were they compatible?
For someone who had never built hardware before, that was an enormous amount to learn just to make one thing. We don’t think that should be the price of admission. We’re building Confetti so you can describe what you want, work through the details, and keep refining it as your idea takes shape, with AI agents handling the hard parts of the process.
Confetti puts the whole process on one platform, driven by natural language:
CAD: generate and edit 3D designs from text or image prompts
Electronics: automatic sourcing for compatible off-the-shelf parts, wiring, and firmware
Manufacturing: get quotes and place orders to get parts sent straight to your doorstep
Community: share, remix, and personalize builds from other makers for yourself
People have used Confetti to build things like a portable dynamic mechanical analyzer for physics research labs, a custom keyboard to type faster, and customized gifts for friends. AI has democratized who can build software. We believe hardware is next. With Confetti, more people can experiment, solve their own problems, and make personalized things that otherwise wouldn’t exist.

@kristian_mariyanov Thanks for trying it out Kristian, we really appreciate it! We really do see Confetti making it much easier for people to get into hardware (that's what inspired us to build it in the first place)!
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, something we're working on right now is sourcing from a wider net of electronics suppliers in order to be able to best adjust to what the maker is looking for. This is a great feature idea and something we'll release soon!
@kristian_mariyanov Thank you for trying the product out! Our team will try to ship a version with budget customizations as soon as possible 😃
Finding compatible parts belongs in the same conversation as designing the enclosure. A design gets much more interesting when you can work out how to actually build it.
@oleksii_sekundant Thanks for the feedback! We do have a build section which has step-by-step illustrations and generated animations that help with learning how the design is built from start to end. Something we're trying to balance is how much we leave to the user in deciding things vs. having Confetti work on sourcing the right parts.
What would you like to see?
Definitely the outcomes are better than Claude Design! Love it!
@vijayanandkailash Thank you! We are working hard to make sure it only gets better 😃
@vijayanandkailash Thanks a ton! We're trying our best 😃. Let us know if there's anything you'd like to see on Confetti!
