Add live widgets, quick actions, apps, folders, search, stats, weather, calendars, reminders, and more into a beautiful second Dock beside your original Mac Dock.

@appit_studio nice work and congrats on the lauch :) Just wondering: with 160+ widgets live, what’s the impact on battery and CPU on a MacBook?
Thank you Denise!
Not that big at all, the app is very optimized, widgets poll on specific intervals in order to lower their "noise" on the OS.
We are also continuously optimizing things, the website has an update page where you could see updates on performance, there's a big one coming that's more micro optimization for example, lowering interactions from 150ms to 20ms which is barely noticeable, but it keeps everything healthy and optimized :-)
My Dock is already a mess :D. Can I hide the original Dock and only use CoolDock?
@rania_rimali Yes you can! :-)
there are free opensource versions of the same app. what else are you bringing to the table to charge it this pricey.
@venkata_vamsi Not aware of any open source versions of this with 160 widgets, premium library that I got due to a collaboration with another app, but paid apps and free and open source apps are not the same.
The incentive to keep maintaining and developing FOSS apps is close to zero. In the world of mac apps, free and FOSS apps gets abandoned left and right.
We're here for the long term, we've been creating mac apps for 2 years with continuously weekly/bi-weekly updates on all of them. We provide fast support for all our customers, sometimes they receive a beta the same day they make the request/bug report.
Paid apps are much more likely to survive for years. If the value is there for you $15 is not considered pricey at all, considering all the pain it saves you. Again, only if the value is there for you.
Posture and water reminders alongside the usual app shortcuts is a nice touch. Congrats on shipping your fifth Mac app, Asaf!
@oleksii_sekundant Thank you! ❤️
Really clean execution, the widgets look native to macOS. As someone building my first iOS app, I'm curious: did you go with SwiftUI for the widgets, or something lower level for the Dock behavior
@artem_durytskyi Everything is built with SwiftUI, nothing lower. And yeah, each widget is cleanly designed in Figma then created in the code :-)
Good luck with your first iOS app!
