What if the person who understands the next big opportunity isn't the person who knows how to trade it?
I spent years working in hedge funds, searching for alpha, building quantitative strategies, hedging positions, and figuring out how to express investment convictions through financial markets.
But something kept bothering me.
My friends from high school and college went into completely different industries: AI, shipping, agriculture, technology.
And I started noticing something fascinating.
A friend working in AI would tell me why memory could become the next major bottleneck. Another friend in shipping would explain why disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz could reshape global trade.
These people had something incredibly valuable: knowledge about the world that most investors didn't have.
But they kept asking me the same questions:
How do I invest in this?
What should I buy?
How would you trade this idea?
They didn't need another stock trading app. They needed someone who could translate their knowledge into an actual investment strategy.
At a hedge fund, we had research teams, quantitative models, sophisticated hedging strategies, and access to multiple markets. At a private bank, wealthy clients could call a trading desk to structure an investment around their thesis.
But what about everyone else?
Why should someone need millions of dollars or years of financial training just to invest in something they understand deeply?
That's when the idea for CrayZ clicked.
What if anyone could turn what they know, see, or believe about the future into an actual investment?
Not just buy a stock. Not just bet Yes or No on an event.
Actually express an idea through a portfolio of assets, with long and short exposure, built around how that idea could affect financial markets.
That's what we're building. And then we realized something else.
Every investment idea starts with information.
That's why we introduced News, where you can discover what's happening in the world and trade related financial assets directly.
You can also create your own investment thesis, let AI research it and build a basket, or discover ideas created by other people and take your own position.
And this is just the beginning.
We believe the next generation of investing won't start with searching for a ticker. It'll start with having an idea.

We're especially curious about three things:
Discovery: Do the news and ideas on CrayZ make you want to explore opportunities you wouldn't otherwise have considered?
