When product teams ship fast with AI, it's hard to keep track of what's live and keep it consistent. Dessn runs your codebase on a design canvas, always in sync with prod, so your team and agents work from one shared source of truth. • Audit your product and find inconsistencies • Map user flows with states and personas • Comment, branch and iterate together • Share prototypes for reviews, user tests or sales demos. Connect GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket in one click. Works with every tech stack.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Gab, co-founder and co-CEO of Dessn. Dessn brings your real product onto a design canvas, so your whole team can see what's live, spot what's drifting, and design what comes next.
My whole life, I never had access to the product I was building. As head of product, I used to live in Figma and docs while Nim, my co-founder, lived in the codebase, and our users lived in prod. I spent so much time keeping Figma up to date, only for it to be outdated the next day.
And this problem is only getting worse now that everyone is vibe-coding like there's no tomorrow. Designers and PMs are supposed to keep standards high and the product consistent, and most of the time they don't even know what's live in production.
Two years ago I had to convince people production is the source of truth. Now everyone agrees, but there's still no design tool anchored in it. So Nim and I built one.
How it works 🌼
Dessn sits where design and dev tools meet. You design with your production codebase, on a canvas built for design workflows.
Connect GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket in one click. No local setup headache.
We render your frontend 1-1 and mock your backend, so your whole product lands on the canvas, always in sync with production.
Ask Dessn to audit where your design is drifting.
Make changes with your teammates, and with your agents through Dessn's MCP.
Hand the code diff to your coding agent to ship.
Dessn only reads your repo, so anyone can explore safely. Works with web apps on any tech stack; iOS is in closed beta.
Dessn exists because we want every builder - technical or not - to have access to their source of truth. As a member of the PH community, you get 50 free credits: just enter the code PHBLOOM in Dessn. Try it on your own repo and tell us: what's the first thing you'd fix?
Gab
PS: a huge thank you to our early users who've lived through every version, and to the Creative Machines community in London, SF and NYC. You shaped this. ❤️
Great launch! @gabriella_dessn I’d use this to see the same screen as an admin and as a regular user. It’s easy to miss what users can’t see when you always test with full access.
@gabriella_dessn @vijay_navaluri 100% Every product is complex. You can't hold a mental list of every page and every state in your head. You need to be able to visualize things.
The problem gets even worse when everybody in your company is shipping 10x a day with AI.
@vijay_navaluri That's the perfect use case! You can map out the same page in every state, as any user. Would love to hear your feedback if you try us Vijay!
congrats on the launch gabriella. to your question, first thing i would fix is signup and pricing pages, they drift from the design fastest because everyone touches them for small tests. seeing prod and design side by side there would save a lot of arguing
@agshin_rajabov Thank you! And you're right: onboarding and billing are often the first pages that people pull. The thing is that with Dessn it's not even prod and design side by side: they're the same thing. You're pulling your actual code and designing on top of it, with Figma like editing or with prompting. It really is the best of both worlds.
I'm in sales and I've used Dessn to create my own demos. Honestly super cool. I could never figure out how Figma works, and I've tried building stuff in Claude as well but that was not super easy to share!
Thanks @timothee_chevalier ! It's been a growing use case, we posted about it last week.
Enterprise b2b runs on custom demos, but designers hate working on those. I've been on the side of having to interrupt PMs or designers to ask, and it's not a fun experience either. I'm glad Dessn is helping you become a builder too!
@timothee_chevalier Sales demos is such an underrated but powerful usecase.
I could never figure out Figma myself too 😝
I have been using Dessn for almost a year now and I can say that this is the best AI design tool out there because the output is very relevant to the design system in the actual codebase. It is also because the process of prototyping is so seamless, intuitive, and creative.
The fact that we can ideate on a canvas makes the exploration process way much faster and way more enjoyable as well.
Kudos to the Dessn team for putting such a cool product together 👏
Congrats on the launch and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the product evolves ❤️❤️❤️
@cristian_iordan a year! We have crazy high ambitions for Dessn, it means everything that you think it's best design tool. Thank you for sticking with us through so many iterations. You've very much shaped Dessn 🌼
@cristian_iordan your feedback has been pivotal for us Cristian thank you for everything!
Dessin is a freakin' dream come true. Such a good way to handle my 41+ screens and get rid of all the legacy stuff.
@matsilverstein ooooh thank you Mat! It truly is the best way to keep up. Working directly in prod is the only way. And with Dessn you can do access prod on a visual canvas, with your team.
The mocked states sound useful for reviewing screens that are hard to reach with live data. Keeping the state used for a review attached to that screen would help the next person reproduce what everyone saw.
@oleksii_sekundant Thanks Oleksii! And yes, that's exactly right. It's about helping you and your team design better, with all the context and complexity of your product. And that's typically so hard to get access to.
A happy path is not enough, and Dessn makes it very easy for you to visualize every single edge case. Not just as a static mockup but as the real interactive flow, with animations and everything.
